Saturday 23 to Monday 25 May – 10.30am and 2.30pm

Course fee: £10 per session

We are very pleased to let you know that Khenpo Tseten has accepted our invitation to teach at Marpa House. Many of you will remember Khenpo giving teachings on Lojong at the Buddhist Summer School in Baerenthal in 2013. He speaks fluent English and you will find his teachings very engaging.

Khenpo will explain how Karma functions in terms of causes and conditions and their consequences. He will discuss Karma from both philosophical and practical points of view, and he will teach how to tame our emotions.

The Venerable Khenpo Tseten was born in Thimpu, Bhutan in 1974. In the early 90s, Khenpo joined Shechen, which is Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s monastery in Nepal. In 2000, he brilliantly completed his studies in Shechen’s monastic college or shedra. Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche later entrusted to him the responsibility of the same shedra which he held for three years.

In 2006, Rabjam Rinpoche instructed him to go and teach in Nyima Dzong in the South of France. During a visit to Shechen in 2009, he was enthroned as Khenpo (Master of studies and of monastic discipline). Khenpo Tseten has been teaching Buddhist philosophy and practice and conducting retreats for over 15 years, not only in Nyima Dzong but also in Belgium, Germany and Portugal.
