EVENTS covering important aspects of the Karma Kagyu tradition are held at Marpa House, which  is committed to organising and running teachings and courses.

These course and teachings are given by Lama Chime Rinpoche, by other eminent Lamas and Rinpoches, and by students of Lama Chime Rinpoche. They extend from one-day events to teachings that extend for several days, usually including a weekend so that those who cannot take time off work have an opportunity to attend.
Teachings that attract large numbers of students take place in a decorated marquee in the gardens.

Other events are held such as the annual summer tea party, meetings of the member students to help with planning and
reviewing activities, celebrations of various Tibetan landmarks (e.g. Tibetan new Year), and volunteer weekends to help with
the maintenance of the the house and gardens. Most of these events are arranged for weekends or bank holidays.

People attending the events reside in the house, in local hotels, or in one of the several ‘bed and breakfast’ homes in the
countryside in, and around, Ashdon.

The events below are planned for the coming weeks. The Marpa House Newsletter has more details.

Please refer to ‘latest news’ for the very latest information and confirmation of the courses/teachings.
